Your warehouse, organised and traceable, in weeks.
Rowan Tech's warehouse management system for B2B SMEs. The modular core — inbound, locations, picking, packing, dispatch, traceability and a mobile app for operators — is already built; we adapt flows, location policies, labels and integration with your ERP and carriers.
No per-operator licences. Mobile app included.
The process, step by step
A real WMS, not a glorified spreadsheet.
Most SME warehouses run on a mix of Excel, paper and the ERP's stock screen. When volume rises, errors spike: incorrect shipments, inventory that doesn't add up, operators spending minutes searching for items. The alternatives are usually two: an expensive, rigid standard WMS, or a from-scratch build that takes a year. Rowan SGA is the middle path: a built and validated core, fast adaptation to your operation.
Details that come as standard: an Android mobile app for operators with barcode scanning, multi-warehouse with configurable location policies, traceability by batch and serial number, and integration with the leading Spanish carriers. Access from any browser in the office and from mobile/PDA in the warehouse, with the same flows.
Your warehouse numbers, ready to act on.
Movements, stock valuation, ABC rotation and adjustments —with reports generated in PDF or Excel, without leaving the system.
Operational modules already built.
Each module covers the full flow, not a standalone screen. What's shown here already works; what gets refined on each project are the nuances of your operation.
Master data and catalogue
Products with variants, multiple barcodes, units of measure, batches and serial numbers. Warehouses and hierarchical locations with typology and restrictions.
Inbound and receiving
Receiving against a purchase order, blind or by supplier delivery note. Quality inspection, discrepancy reconciliation and traceability from origin.
Location and replenishment
Configurable policies: by ABC rotation, by zone, by family or by custom rule. Automatic replenishment from reserve stock to picking.
Picking and packing
Unit, wave or batch picking. Packing with parcel calculation, label generation and multi-client order consolidation.
Dispatch and transport
Delivery-note generation, carrier labels, outbound manifest and integration with the APIs of the main logistics operators.
Inventory and control
Cyclical inventories by zone or ABC, rotating counts, reconciliation with an approval flow and full movement audit trail.
Traceability and batches
Full history by batch or serial number: where it was, when it was received, when it was dispatched and to which client. Useful for food, pharma or industrial sectors.
Mobile app for operators
Native Android with scanner. Same flow as on the desktop: inbound, picking, location, inventories. Works offline and syncs when signal returns.
Your warehouse, tracked end to end
Receiving, locations, picking and counts in real time, with a mobile app so operators can work scanner in hand.
Practical differences.
Scan, place and move, no paper.
The operator scans the location and the item, and stock updates in real time. Inbound, outbound and counts from the phone, even without coverage: once signal returns, it syncs on its own.
No two Rowan SGA deployments are exactly alike.
A distributor working with full pallets, an e-commerce business with unit picking, and a manufacturing company with finished goods produced in series don't share the same warehouse flows. What they do share are the core modules. What gets worked on in each implementation are the location policies, picking rules, labels and connectors to your ERP and carriers.
Way of working: analysis with the warehouse manager and operators, a fixed proposal, phases with real data in a pilot zone, on-site training, and direct support from the development team after go-live.
Adaptation to your operation
Each flow is adjusted to your circuits: location policy, picking logic, consolidation rules, labels with your template and your warehouse's naming conventions.
Inventory migration
Importing current stock from your previous system, a reference count for reconciliation, and go-live with the warehouse running from day one.
Integration with your ERP
Connector for Sage, Holded, A3, SAP, Rowan ERP or any ERP with an API. Sales orders enter the WMS and dispatches flow back to the ERP automatically.
Carrier connectors
MRW, Seur, GLS, Correos Express, NACEX, DHL and others. Label generation, manifests and tracking built into every dispatch.
Your own brand and domain
Delivered under sga.youcompany.com with your logo and colour palette. The mobile app carries your brand too.
Tested where it matters: in a real warehouse, every day.
The Rowan SGA core has been running in daily operation, handling inbound, locations, picking and dispatch under the real pressure of a B2B warehouse. The flows don't come from a theoretical Figma file or a demo shown in a meeting room: they come from an operation that receives orders at the wrong time, mixes up delivery notes, handles returns and faces tight deadlines every day. That experience is what every new implementation inherits.
Every implementation starts with a deep analysis of the warehouse's current operation, continues with adapting the modules to your circuits, connecting to your ERP, integrating with your carriers, training the warehouse team, and direct support from the development team during the first quarter after go-live. We give priority to distribution SMEs, e-commerce businesses with owned stock, and manufacturers who need to move on from Excel or a standard WMS that doesn't fit.
They tend to go together.
What people ask us before getting started.
How does Rowan SGA differ from a standard WMS like Mecalux Easy WMS, SAP EWM or Holded's module-based solutions?
Off-the-shelf WMS platforms force you to adapt your warehouse to their location model, their order typology and their delivery-note printing format. They work, but they lock you in. Rowan SGA starts from a modular core that's already built (inbound, locations, picking, packing, dispatch, batches and traceability) and we shape it to the client's real operation: how you identify your products, what location policies you use, what you print at each step and how you connect to your ERP or your carrier. It's a product, not a project built from scratch, but it isn't a rigid off-the-shelf suit either.
What type of warehouse does it make sense for?
B2B SMEs with a mid-sized operational warehouse: wholesale distribution, importing, e-commerce with owned stock, manufacturing with a finished-goods warehouse, or cooperatives. If you have between 500 and 50,000 SKUs, several operators moving stock every day, and you're starting to see inventory discrepancies, slow picking or shipping errors, Rowan SGA makes sense. For highly automated warehouses with AGVs and radio shuttles, we only get involved if the client has their own technical team.
What does the base Rowan SGA product include?
The core warehouse-management flows: master data (products, batches, locations, warehouses), inbound with blind or expected receipt, goods location with configurable policies, picking by order or by wave, packing and consolidation, dispatch with label and delivery-note generation, cyclical and rotating inventory control, and full traceability with history by serial number or batch. The mobile app for operators with a PDA or smartphone is included. The exact scope is defined in the proposal after analysing your operation.
How does it connect with my current ERP (Sage, Holded, A3, SAP, Rowan ERP)?
Rowan SGA exposes a documented REST API so your ERP can send sales orders, receive dispatch confirmations and sync product and stock master data. If you work with one of the most common ERPs in Spain, the connector is built during implementation. If you use Rowan ERP, the integration is native: same data model, no API syncing.
How long does implementation take?
The first production-ready deliverable (basic inbound, locations and picking running with real data in a warehouse or pilot zone) is usually ready in 4-6 weeks. Full implementation with all of the client's flows, ERP integration, warehouse team training and inventory migration is usually completed between the second and fourth month. We work in phases with the warehouse operating throughout the process — no shutdown required.
Does it work with barcodes and older PDAs?
Yes. The mobile app runs on any modern Android device (smartphone or PDA with an integrated scanner) and supports reading 1D barcodes, QR and Data Matrix. If you already have a fleet of Honeywell, Zebra or similar Android-based PDAs, we reuse them. If you need to buy devices, we advise you on what's reasonable for your volume.
Is your warehouse running on Excel and hope? Let's talk.
First meeting: an honest analysis of your current operation. If Rowan SGA isn't right for you, we'll tell you what is. No forced proposal.
